We understand that things come up so we understand when we have the occasional cancellation. However when we have a cancellation or a no show the same day it makes it very difficult to refill the appointment. Our groomers daily schedule depends upon appointments being kept and they are paid based on commission.
First time groomingWe require a $20.00 deposit for the first time grooming Two or more no shows/cancellations We require a deposit of 50% of the total grooming to be prepaid prior to schedule grooming Cancellations: Please notify us before 11:00am the day prior to your scheduled grooming to cancel or reschedule Standing appointment customers please notify us of a cancellation 48 hours before your scheduled appointment All cancellations without a 48 hour notice will not receive a punch for the next appointment Two or more missed appointments may result in forfeit of standing appointment program
Saturday No show/cancellation policySaturdays are our most popular grooming day. We will not be able to book you on a Saturday in the future should you “no show” or should you cancel your Saturday appointment more than once. If two or more no shows or cancellations happen the above deposit will be required for future groomings
Demat policyWe will not demat a dog or cat that has mats that are against the skin. Dematting a dog or cat can be very painful and stressful and the best and most humane way is to clip the hair to allow new hair growth. Dogs and cats should be brushed in layers to avoid mats forming When bathing your pet at home in between groomings be sure to brush and comb your pet prior to and after their bath. Tangles and knots not taken out before a bath can worsen when the pet becomes wet. During rain and snow be sure to towel dry your pet when they come in from being outside and thoroughly brush and comb them
Double coat shavedownsDouble coated breeds (Goldens, Labs, Husky, Malamute, Pomeranian etc) benefit greatly from their coats. Their coats provides them insulation from the heat and cold. Their coats keep them cooler in the warmer months and warmer in the colder months. It also helps prevents their skin from being exposed to the sun. Keeping their coats thoroughly brushed out will help prevent the coat from becoming matted. A matted coat will restrict air flow to your pet’s skin and cause many skin issues from redness to open sores. Regular groomings every 6 to 8 weeks can help prevent the coat from becoming matted and also help reduce shedding which will help keep your pet cool in the warm months and warm in the winter months. Shaving a double coated dog will not help them unless it is medically necessary and recommended by your veterinarian. When you shave a double coated breed you are disrupting the natural shedding process. Shaving them can also cause damage to the top coat (coarse hair on top) and to the undercoat. The coat can grow back differently and even grow back unevenly after being shaved and the coat may shed even MORE! For dogs who shed a lot we have a special program called the shedless program. We use a special shampoo and brush to get all the dead unwanted hair out. There is no magic solution to completely shop shedding. We are willing to shave double coated breeds if you wish but we don’t recommend it. Many double coated shavedowns cost approximately double then the price of a bath and brushout for these breeds.
Redo PolicyIt can be easier to notice things at home than during the excitement of being reunited with your pet. If you would like us to tweak your pet’s haircut call us within 48 hours from your scheduled grooming and we will be more than happy to correct any issues. Redos normally take less than an hour to do.
